Vacations are meant
for play! Pelican’s PlayZone provides the perfect playground for kids
to develop their imagination and creativity. In addition to special
day and evening programs designed especially for the younger set, the
PlayZone also offers opportunities for the entire family to engage in
fun activities that make for memorable vacations. Call us on our toll

Our Recreation Staff & Safety
Our professional staff consists of a professional recreation manager who is
assisted by college seniors seeking degrees in recreation. They are
CPR/First Aid certified and maintain a 10:1 ration of children-to-staff.
The PlayZone staff and the front desk staff maintain communication via
two-way radios. If you need to contact your child during a play program,
you may do so at anytime through the front desk.
It’s Easy To Sign-Up Your Children For A PlayZone Program!
Upon
your arrival, consult the PlayZone brochure of activities that describe
the themed activities offered during your stay. You may pre-register your
child for the Day Programs and Kids Night Out at the Pelican Beach resort
front desk. These programs are designed for ages 4 – 12 years. Other
programs, such as crafts-by-the-pool and complimentary programs are open
to all ages, including adults.
What Happens In The PlayZone?
Day Programs and
Kids Night Out: These sessions
are designed for children ages 4 –12 years (activities are not
appropriate for children younger than 4 years). Each session features
crafts and activities organized around the theme of the day. Themes
planned for this year include:

Wacky Water Mania

Pirates of the Caribbean
Country Night
Hawaiian Luau
Wacky Sports Night
Halloween in July
Blizzard Beach
In addition to the regular day and evening programs
Monday –Friday:
Poolside Crafts: Offered
Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM near the Pelican Beach outdoor
pool. Small craft activities open to all ages. Nominal fee. No sign up
required.
Complimentary Pool and Poolside
Games: Mondays and Fridays at the Pelican Beach outdoor pool
from 11:00 AM – Noon.
Sandcastle Building: On
the beach - days vary during the season (Complimentary – all ages).
